Javay did not plan on becoming pregnant. With only one year of college completed, she was in a domestic violence relationship and had very few places to turn when she found out she would be a mother. Determined to protect herself and her unborn child, she left the relationship and eventually found her way to The Northwest Center. With us she received stable housing, was referred for prenatal care, and was able to enroll in classes to help her achieve her dream of becoming a healthcare professional. Today, Javay has a beautiful son, Jashton, and she works as a Medical Office Assistant, while pursuing her nursing degree.
